TREKKING IN THE SHADOW OF MOUNT EVEREST - THE WORLD'S HIGHEST PEAK

The Everest Base Camp Trek is considerably one of the worlds most famous and designated trekking destinations. Explore a life of nomad, far from the mundane life; get yourself in the rigorous walking and trekking on the trail to Mount Everest. You will explore most representative spots of the Everest region, snow-capped Himalayan peaks, flowering meadows, mountains, rivers and valleys. This trek has many trails marked with Buddhist prayers and sacred stones. Going through the Everest region one can discover ancient monasteries and learn about the local Sherpa culture. You can stay overnight in the simple, clean tea-houses (lodges) run by local families, and taste the hearty Nepalese food. Along with that you will also get to admire the first rays of sunrise over mighty Everest from the summit of Kalapathar.

Our Everest Base Camp Trek trip begins with an eye capturing flight from Kathmandu to the airstrip at Lukla (2886m). We then follow along a route dubbed by some as "the steps to heaven", through the traditional expedition route to the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu, the bustling market villages of Namche Bazaar (3440m). Namche Bazaar is the largest town in that region. It is also the first place on the Khumbu trek where trekkers can stay for a day or two for acclimatization. After Namche we go alongside the loud raging Imja Khola to the high valley below Mount Everest. Tengboche (3867m), the home of Nepal's most famous monastery, is situated beneath the impressive backdrop of Everest and Ama Dablam (6812m). Our journey to Everest Base Camp takes us close up beneath the spectacular “Khumbu Icefall” which leads up to the South Col and was the route taken on the first ascent of Everest. We have also included the option of hiking to the top of Kalapathar (5550m), which will need our hard effort with extraordinary views of Mt. Everest (8848.86 m), Mt. Makalu(8485 m), Mt. Lotse(8516 m), Mt Ama Dablam(6812 m), Mt. Pumori(7161 m), Nuptse (7816m) and many more Mountains . As we get to the end of our trek we start to descend down to Namche & Lukla and with a return flight to Kathmandu.

This easy-paced and memorable trek can be done by people who enjoy walking through the mountainous terrains and glacial moraines with an above average physical fitness. To experience this unforgettable trek the best season will be April to mid June and September to November. Join now and be a part of Incredible Mountains to experience a surreal adventure while trekking to Everest Base Camp.

Today, we have rest and altitude acclimatization day in Namche. Acclimatization is very important for the trek. It helps us to succeed on our trek. We have to do so many things surrounding Namche bazar. Trekers go to the nearest hill point for acclimatization.  Syanboche and Everest View hotel is a popular destination for acclimatization near Namche bazar. On the way to Everest View hotel, we passed through Syanboche airport, which is not operating nowadays, but this one was a high-altitude airport on the previous day. After a few minutes' walk to the airport, we will reach the first Everest view point. We can see Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Amadablam and many more mountains from here. Close to the view point, there is a lodge where we can have our lunch or some tea/coffee. If we are interested in going to the Everest view hotel, it takes half an hour more from here, which is situated at 3080 meters altitude. We can see a clear and nice view of Mt. Everest closely with our warm coffee.after spend few hours here back to the Namche bazar. If we have more time left, then we have to visit Tenzing Norge memorial park, which is very close to Namche bazar. Namche bazar is also nice for itself to visit, which is a big town for Tread in the Khumbu region. We can get trekking gear shops, banks, money exchange counters, ATMs, bars and nice restaurants and hotels here.
